Cure with Quality of Life

Our mission is to deliver the highest quality care, support and technology to the physician and the patient. HIFU Solution was founded to provide men access to a noninvasive treatment option for prostate cancer. Being diagnosed with prostate cancer can be stressful and confusing. Studies have shown emotional distress and anxiety can provoke men and their loved ones into choosing surgery as treatment instead of less invasive options.

The ASTRO/AUA Guidelines published in 2017 provides directions to clinicians and patients regarding the use of various treatments based on evidence based and consensus-based processes. The most effective approach for a particular patient is best determined by discussion among a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, the patient and the family. The AUA Guidelines recommend the

discussion regarding treatment take into account considerations of complications, adverse effects, relative efficacy, and quality of life issues. Health–Related quality of life is a particulary important concern for patient with clinically localized prostate cancer.

Both radical and surgery and all forms of radiation leave men with major complications.

HIFU gives men the option to choose curative treatment with less complications and better quality of life.

At present, HIFU is limited by the fact that no randomized studies have been completed comparing HIFU with surgery or radiation.  Randomized studies comparing HIFU to surgery are currently on going.

What we do know is that based on available data with 10-15 years follow-up, the French, German, and Japanese experience with HIFU is good. HIFU results are comparable to surgery and radiation with less side effects.
